I am an artist and illustrator based in the North West of England. My art education started at Bolton College of Art & Design and I graduated from Liverpool Polytechnic with a B. A. degree in graphic design in 1977
In my artwork, whatever the subject, I aim to create images which have strong graphic elements.
Using various media, I use a "dark to light" technique where I add highlights and shadows to "carve" the subject out of a toned background.
My paintings, prints and cards are on sale in Lancashire at the Art Shop in Bury Art Museum, the Haworth Gallery in Accrington, Olchon's Gallery, Ramsbottom and Egoiste Gallery, 3rd floor Afflecks, Manchester, M4 1PW

I am a member of Bury Art Collective, a network of people involved in the creative arts, and Whitefield Life Drawing, a group meeting weekly to draw the figure from life.
My work is held in private collections in the U.K., U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Germany and Japan.
